Playtoe Records is proud to add M' Hotep to their 2008 Artist Roster.  M' Hotep says:

"My intention for doing the music I do is to bring about a positive change in my community. The music I make touches on subject matter that effects the economically poor people in this country which is something I know a lot about because I have always been poor. "

Andrea Kenecia Fernander

Kenecia was born in Fort Walton Beach, FL on Eglin Air Force Base on December 23, 1983 to Brenda Fernander and Norman Holley. Eight months after she was born she and her mother was stationed in England, where Kenecia was raised for the first six years of her life. In 1990 she then moved to Myrtle Beach, SC, for five years. She sang in the church choirs and attended a number of schools.

     In January of 1995, she and her mother moved to Warner Robins, GA. Being an Air Force dependent enabled Kenecia to become well rounded. In 1998 Kenecia and her mother moved to Atlanta where she still resides. She held a 4.0 all the way through High School. She took four years of Air Force ROTC which taught her self discipline, as well as leadership skills. Kenecia has traveled all over the world with her mother being in the military. Some of the places she’s either visited or lived are FL, SC, GA, CO, MO, NC, TX, AL, OH, England, Germany, and Scotland just to name a few. She graduated from Towers High School in 2001. She now attends Dekalb Tech, majoring in Paralegal and plans to transfer to one of the Universities in 2004. Her mother raised her in the church and now has a stepfather named John Humphrey. She has no sisters and brothers. Kenecia’s mother’s name is Brenda Fernander-Humphrey.
