I was born in Jacksonville, Florida. It was there I developed the love for music. Actually, I was in band from seventh grade @ Mathew W. Gilbert onward to Southside Jr. High to William Marion Raines all the way to college were I attended Saint Augustine’s College Raleigh, North Carolina. I played trumpet. baritone, sousaphone during marching band and tuba during concert band.
    I’ve always had a desire to sing. I figured if I could play the notes shouldn’t have a problem singing notes. Being that I knew both treble and bass clef, the transition was fairly easy. I currently reside In the suburban area of Atlanta. Snellville to be exact. I am an active member of The American Society For Composers, Authors & Publishers. I earned the name name “C” ..over from my raw digga Slick Rick Fulton. It used to be Carey I Cool. 4sho. Yeah, that’s right. I am the baby of four. Proud son of the parents Louis & Etta Pleas. God Bless my big brother Gregory Donnell Merritt. Been missed every since ya been goin'.  I No doubt. However, still bless to have a beautiful sister, Jacquelyn D. Michelle and cool brother whom I get my swag from Darin “Fast” Merritt. That’s what’s up.
