Hints on getting your music/press kit noticed:

1.  Contact Information - Be sure to include it.  If you do not have anything on there besides an email address, this will not work.  We need to call you.

2.  Biography - Saying your height, weight, year born, will not do.  We need hype.  Sell yourself, but don't lie.  Lying will get you nowhere. 

3.  Sound clips or video clips.  If you submit your website only, we cannot guarantee that we'll have time to look at it.  Please include an attached mp3, sound clip, video, etc.   Also, if you recorded your demo in your garage with one microphone and a tape, we're guessing the quality is not that good.  Please be sure to submit a HIGH quality video or demo.

4.  Show dates, tour, etc.  Please let us know where you are playing.  If we have a rep in your area, there is a chance we could see you live to review your material.

5.  Call us first to let us know you'll be submitting the demo/press kit, etc.  Tell us why you would be a great artist with Playtoe Records.  One phone call can go a LONG way.

6.  Artwork/Photos - If you are planning on getting "noticed" by Playtoe Records, be sure to have high quality artwork or press photos.  Photos that were taken outside your house, at a friends party, or on the street somewhere might not work.  They have to be professional quality.
